On October 30, 1992 at 7:56 p.m., a Proton rocket was launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. This rocket had been designed by the artists Andora, Jury Leidermann and the writer Chingiz Aitmatov. 

Ludwig Rauch photographed this project from the beginning to the launch of the rocket.

The Baikonur Cosmodrome is a spaceport operated by Russia within Kazakhstan. Located in the Kazakh city of Baikonur, it is the largest operational space launch facility in terms of area.
